Visit to the National Museum

28th Jan 2025
The senior class visited The Murmur of Bees, an exhibition where they embarked on a journey into the fascinating world of Irish bees.
Did you know there are more than 100 different bee species in Ireland, but only one that makes honey? Or that bees were so important throughout Irish history, they even have their own patron saint?

After a short introduction to the exhibition the children got creative with artist Cas McCarthy by assembling and painting their own cardboard insect in the Courtyard Education Studio. These insects will then become part of a wonderful community art installation.
